Michelle Morgan, Signature's President, Passes Away
Michelle Morgan, Signature Travel Network's President, passed away on September 17th at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Michelle fought courageously, overcoming breast cancer, but finally lost the battle as she recovered from complications stemming from treatment for Acute Leukemia.
She will be missed greatly on both a personal and professional level by everyone. The impact Michelle has had, and her resulting legacy, will be tough to quantify because of its incredible reach. What she has done as a role model for women in this industry and the way she lifted up small agency owners and allowed them to battle with the big guys is legendary. She grew her little California co-op from $30 million in agency sales to over $5 billion in her 22 years of service and all the while, did it with grace and humility always putting our members first.
Michelle is survived by her two beautiful daughters and her four grandchildren. She passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Michelle had a long and distinguished career in the travel industry. She joined Signature as Executive Director in 1991 and was instrumental in driving the growth and success of the organization over the years. Prior to joining Signature, Michelle was a marketing executive at Carlson Travel Network (Carlson Wagonlit Travel). She began her career in travel working for Ask Mr. Foster Travel Service. Throughout her tenure at Signature, Michelle led with courage, grace, and humility. Her unwavering commitment to all members is an example to us all and will be our guiding light going forward.
