At The Egerton, the team know how to bring this finest of English traditions to glorious life. Relax in our beautiful Dining room with a fragrant pot of loose-leaf tea, or perhaps a glass of Champagne, and prepare to be spoilt with one of the best Afternoon Teas in London.

Although there is no formal restaurant at The Egerton, guests can choose from the wide selection of options on our menu. From warming classics such as Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup to something more substantial such as Aberdeen Angus sirloin steak or The Egerton's delicious hamburger.

Our chef and kitchen staff are flexible and helpful, and provided we have the ingredients will be delighted to prepare your favorite dish to order: please feel free to ask.

Guests are welcome to dine in-room (24 hours) or in the bar and lounge area: alternatively, if you are planning a small dinner party the elegant dining room is available for your privacy and enjoyment. An extensive night menu is also available between 10:30 pm and 6:30 am.

The Bar

Just a short stroll from the V&A, is a cocktail bar awaiting your arrival. The Egerton Bar is the ideal destination during a day of culture. But while we have our own Picasso and Renoir lithographs at the hotel, the work of art we’re most proud of is our signature cocktail: The Martini.

As a five-star hotel, we offer guests a completely personalised experience from an impeccably stocked bar. We can make a great martini any way you want – straight, dirty, apple sour, or even chocolate. For a truly unforgettable drink, we strongly recommend our take on the classic. Accompany your cocktail experience with delicious dishes from our bar menu, alongside our signature canapés. For those seeking a more hands-on experience, our Martini Masterclass, accompanied by a selection of our signature canapés, is simply unmissable.

The Dining Room

We are firm believers in breakfast being the most important meal of the day and because we do not want any of our guests to miss out, a full cooked breakfast is available at around the clock.

Between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM each day a hearty English breakfast is available in the Dining Room along with an extensive continental breakfast buffet offering healthy breakfast cereals, freshly squeezed fruit juices, cheeses, organic smoked salmon and seasonal fruits and berries.

Our dining room also lends itself perfectly well for private meetings, lunches or intimate dinner parties for up to 10 people. We draw a regular and appreciative audience – people who like great food impeccably served in intimate surroundings. They come to us simply because they like the way we do things. If we don't have what they want on the menu – and we have the ingredients to hand – we'll cook whatever they want.
