Phuntsholing
Overview
Introduction
Visitors often see the small village of Phuntsholing, on the Indian border in the southwest corner of Bhutan (along the Torsa River), while traveling the hairpin road north to Paro or Thimphu (it's often the overnight stopping point). A short way outside the town is Kharbandi Gompa, a monastery that affords fine views of the Bengal plains of northern India.
