Tadjoura
Overview
Introduction
This town on the Tadjoura Gulf, across from Djibouti City, is the oldest in Djibouti. There isn't much to see or do other than enjoy the beaches, but the old Islamic architecture is attractive and so is the setting, so it's a pleasant place to relax. Accommodation is simple, but adequate. The town is also a jumping-off point for the nearby Goda Mountains and
Foret du Day National Park.
25 mi/35 km northwest of Djibouti City.
