Kagoshima, a seaport on Kyushu Island, Japan, is sheltered within Kagoshima Bay and is the commercial and cultural center of southern Kyushu. Products manufactured here include a famous type of earthenware known as Satsumaware. Sights of interest include the Iso Garden and the local Theatre.

Haikou is also the location of the World of Tropical Ocean, the first tropical ocean theme park founded in China, which includes exquisite statues, fountains, and colorful acquariums that contain about 30,000 tropical fish. Other local attractions include the Volcano Crater Park, the Mangrove Forest, the Hainan Tropical Wildlife Garden, and the Five Ministers Temple.

Penang, or more properly Pulau Pinang, is the northern gateway to Malaysia and also the country’s oldest British settlement. To the tourist industry, Penang has been marketed for a long time as the Pearl of the Orient. Although Penang is best known for its beaches, there is much more here than just sand and sea.
