Cosmos is also committed to sustainable travel and minimizing its impact on the environment and to reducing its dependence on non-renewable resources. In this endeavor, they have implemented policies to support this mission and are working carefully to enhance their products with this mission and values combined. They are committed to complying with all relevant legislation and/or regulations.

Cosmos maintains a policy of "Leave Only Footprints and Take Only Photos." The staff and major service providers strive to ensure that no removal of any natural or cultural artifacts or materials to ensure our environment looks and functions the same before and after visiting. Cosmos tour directors educate passengers on the "do no harm" code of conduct to ensure that the passengers comply.

Cosmos is committed to reduce transportation-related energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. Cosmos utilizes motorcoaches that are 5 years or newer and equipped with the latest technology in emission control and reduction. In addition, these modern motorcoaches provide 206.6 passenger miles per gallon and on average are seven times more energy and fuel efficient than a single-occupancy automobile. Each motorcoach replaces as many as 55 passenger cars on the roads, slashing fuel usage and pollution emissions.
