Privacy Policy

1.         Introduction 

            Bon Appétit Travel Specialists, operated by Signature Travel Network Cooperative, Inc., a California consumer cooperative corporation (“Signature”), respects your privacy. This policy states how we try to protect privacy of personal information we may obtain from your use of this website. If there is any part of this policy you do not agree with, or if you do not think this policy provides you enough protection, you should stop using this site and not visit it. 
 
2.         Information Gathering Practices
 
            Here is a description of our information gathering practices for this website:
  • You can visit this website without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. 
  • This website lets you give us information about you. But you don't have to. It is your choice.
  • Our site uses the following to gather information: Cookies, Google Tracking, Server scripts that can determine IP address, referring site, browser type, and other non-personal information.
  • We collect contact information like your name, address, phone, email address and travel preferences, which you voluntarily give us.  
  • An optional comment box is provided, which sometimes results in people providing personal information.
  • This site has no chat room, forum, message board, or news group. None of these methods is used to obtain information.
  • We obtain non-personal information like IP (internet protocol) addresses, browser types, name of your ISP (internet service provider), information about where a user comes from before arriving at our Site, what pages a user visits, the order of those pages, and the amount of time spent on each.
     
3.         "Cookies" and Other Web Technologies
 
            We use “cookie” technology and IP addresses, to obtain non-personal information from on-line visitors, seeking to provide a quality personalized on-line experience. To do this we track the type of browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc) and operating system (e.g., Windows, Macintosh, Linux) used by the visitor, and domain name of the visitor’s Internet service provider. We track total number of visitors to our site in an aggregate form to let us update and try to improve our site. Personally identifiable information is not extracted in this process.  This helps us keep our site fresh and interesting to visitors. Cookie technology also helps us deliver content tailored to a visitor’s interests. You may disable cookies or set your browser to tell you when cookies are being sent. If you disable cookies, we may be unable to optimize your visit to our site and you may experience some errors.
 
4.         How We Use Information You Provide:
  • If you choose to give us information, we use it to provide you information on services and programs we offer.
  • We could use your IP address to help us identify you and gather information for statistical purposes.
  • We could share information with one or more Signature member travel agencies.
  • We do not sell, trade or transfer information to others outside member travel agencies of Signature.
  • We could hire outside companies to provide services for our web site. They may have access to information you provide us, if needed to do their functions.
  • We reserve the right to use or disclose information if we have a good faith belief that doing so is to satisfy a law, regulation or legal request, subpoena, court discovery requirement, to protect integrity of our site, or cooperate with law enforcement, government or public safety investigation or request.  
  • We could share information if you ask or consent to us doing so. If information concerns multiple persons (like information on a couple identified as Mr. and Mrs.) we could share information on both if either of the persons asks or consents.
  • If we outsource web management, or if there were ever a corporate sale or other transaction, information could be shared with an outsource service provider, buyer or the like.
  • We use non-personal information to customize content you see, improve our services, conduct research, and provide anonymous aggregated reporting for internal analysis, audits and third-parties.
     
5.         Accuracy/Correction/Updating of Information
  • You can control accuracy of information you provide us. We encourage you to review information for accuracy before you send it to us.
  • There is a way to change information previously provided or correct errors. To  update or correct information, please send your request in an email to: BA@Signaturetravelnetwork.com.
  • To ask us to delete information or stop using information you provided, please send your request in an email to BA@Signaturetravelnetwork.com.
 
6.         Choice/Opt-Out
 
            You can ask us to remove your information from our database and not receive future communications. To do this, please send your request in an email to BA@Signaturetravelnetwork.com.
 
7.         Security
  • This site has security measures to reduce the risk of loss, misuse and alteration of information under our control.
  • No security measure provides 100% certainty against all risks. Inadvertent disclosure is possible. Technology changes, computer hackers, dishonesty by persons with access, and human error are examples why it is impossible for us, or anyone, to absolutely assure that your information cannot ever be accessed or disclosed. 
  • Accordingly, we and our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, member travel agencies or representatives shall not be liable for loss, injury or damage arising from or relating to disclosure of your information. Please do not give us any information that is so confidential or so personal that its release would cause you injury.
 
8.         Notice of Certain Uses.
 
            Under California law, California residents have the right to request in writing from businesses with whom they have an established business relationship (1) a list of categories of personal information, such as name, address, e-mail address, and type of services provided to the customer, that a business disclosed to third parties (including affiliates that are separate legal entities) during the immediately preceding calendar year for the third parties' direct marketing purposes and (2) names and addresses of all such third parties. We will respond to such requests within 30 days of receipt. We are only required to respond to each customer once per calendar year.
 
9.         Changes to Our Policy
 
            This privacy policy is effective as of February 25, 2010. We can change this policy any time. If we change the policy we expect to post the revised version here. So we suggest you check here periodically for the most up-to-date version of our privacy policy.
 
10.       Comments
 
            You can make comments or suggestions on our privacy policy. You can tell us if you believe something occurred that does not comply with our policy. You can send these to us at BA@signaturetravelnetwork.com.
